Avicenna Alliance returns to the BMES/FDA Conference and the US Congress
Following the resounding success of the Avicenna Alliance mission to the US in 2017, the Alliance is returning in 2019 to the BMES/FDA Frontiers in Medical Devices Conference and the US Congress during the week of the 18th March.
The creation of a policy framework for in silico medicine to improve patient safety, guarantee efficacy and reduce cost– is a global solution to a myriad of global health problems. To that end, the Avicenna Alliance is looking to consolidate and expand its’ international reach to advise on how these solutions could be made manifest.
With a series of meetings planned, including a workshop with the US FDA, and meetings with elected representatives to the US Senate and US Congress, the Alliance seeks to enhance cooperation across the Atlantic.
The Avicenna Alliance delegation will be made up of Avicenna Members, from the industry and academic side, representatives of the Joint Research Centre as well as active participation by FDA delegates. Avicenna Alliance members will have the opportunity to present the latest cutting edge development in in silico medicine that they are pioneering and to put forward their issues to those with the political position to address them. The goal of this trip is to offer policy makers a means of making real a vision that all Avicenna Members share – a world where personalized medicine comes as standard, where big data can always be turned into information and healthcare systems that have fully embraced the digital era in which we now live
